The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 197 more Coronavirus cases even as the number of people who have recovered from the disease pushes toward 44,000.
The Agency said on Thursday, September 10, 2020, that the new infections were reported in twelve States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to a tweet by the NCDC, Plateau State which has now become the pandemic epicentre in the Country had the highest infections of 83 for the day.
Of the new cases, Lagos State had 48 infections, Kaduna State had 17, FCT had 16, Ogun State had 11, Katsina State had 7, Imo State had 4, Edo and Nasarawa States had 3 each.
Rivers State had two new infections, while Bayelsa, Oyo, and Osun States had one case each.
According to the Health Agency, 43,810 persons out of the 55,829 confirmed cases have been discharged, while 1,075 deaths have been recorded so far since the pandemic was confirmed in the Country.
