The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has recorded 79 new cases of the Coronavirus.
Disclosing this on Sunday, September 13, 2020, the NCDC noted that out of the new cases, 30 were recorded in Lagos State, 17 in Kaduna State, seven in Ogun State, five in Anambra State, four in Kano State, three in Katsina State, Akwa Ibom State and the FCT, two in Oyo and Rivers States; and one each in Delta, Plateau and Ondo States.
The new cases, being the lowest figure in several months, now bring the number of confirmed infections in the Country to 56,256.
44,152 have recovered and been discharged from Isolation Centres, while 1,082 have died.
There are now more than 870,000 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus across the continent, with South Africa still holding the higest number with over 450,000 cases, followed by Egypt with over 90,000 cases and Nigeria with over 56,000 cases.
