Coronavirus: Buhari Sets Up Committee To Assess Impact On Nigeria’s Economy

President Muhammadu Buhari has set up a committee with a mandate to assess the impact of coronavirus on the economy.
According to reports the committee was set up after the President held a meeting with the Ministers of Finance, Budget , the National Planning, Zainab Ahmed; and Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, and the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari,
The committee is saddled with the responsibility of urgently evaluating the effect of the coronavirus on the economy and its impact on prices of crude oil.
Members of the committee included the two ministers and the NNPC boss, as well as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
