President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs. Christy Uba as the acting Director of the National Youth Service Corps the leadership of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
She is currently the Director of Information and Communications Technology and the most senior director.
Uba will lead the corps in an acting capacity, according to a statement by Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa.
President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to appoint a substantive Director-General soon.
The President sacked the former DG, Brig.-Gen. Muhammad Fadah, last week.
Fadah assumed duty as the 19th head on May 18, 2022, succeeding Maj.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim.
Mrs. Christy Uba, Director, of Information and Communications Technology, the most senior Director in the Scheme has taken over the leadership of the Corps in the capacity of Overseer, pending the appointment of a substantive Director General by Mr. President.
