 CAF Awards 2019: Algeria’s Belmadi crowned Men’s African Coach of the Year

Algeria’s Djamel Belmadi has been crowned Men’s African Coach of the Year after a historic 2019.

He beats Aliou Cisse (Senegal – Senegal) and Moïne Chaâbani (Tunisia – Esperance) to win the award.

He was announced as the winner at the awards ceremony holding in Albatros Citadel Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, Egypt on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

He led Algeria’s Les Fennecs to the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title, quenching a thirst that had gone on for 29 years.
