 Buhari Extends Lockdown In  Lagos, Ogun And FCT For 14 days

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the lockdown declared in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for another 14 days.

The President said this in a nationwide broadcast on Monday, April 13, 2020, which he said the decision to extend the initial 14-day lockdown was taken after having carefully considered the briefings and Report from the Presidential Task Force and the various options offered.

President Buhari therefore said it has become necessary to extend the current restriction of movement in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT for another 14 days effective from 11:59 pm, Monday, April 13, 2020.

He however emphasized that the decision is not a joke as it is a matter of life and death.
