There is a confirmation that top Belgian and German Bundesliga Clubs are very serious about acquiring the services of Super Eagles’ first-choice goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi.
Akpeyi’s South Africa based agent Mohammed Lawal told Newsmen on foremost Whatsapp group NSM Rebranded on Friday that offers are on the table, but his client is fully committed to his current club in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs.
Before Coronavirus halted Football, the former Warri Wolves and Chippa United shot stopper was in a fantastic form and won back to back player of the month award in the South African League, his top notch performances alerted European sides who were willing to woo him to Europe.
According to his agent Mohammed Lawal, the Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper isn’t thinking about a move and only just want to continue his excellent job with Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa.
In his words” There are interest for Daniel Akpeyi, that I can confirm, but unfortunately at this stage I’m not able to mention the clubs that are interested in him, let’s wait and see how it works out at the end.”
The PSL is trying to see if the League will resume or not so at this moment it’s not good to be speculating about Daniel’s movement, we just want to focus on his career with Kaizer Chiefs which as you all know we just renewed his contract for another two years, so at this moment all we want to talk about is Kaizer Chiefs and not the offers that are coming”
