ASUU MOVES TO SUE FG OVER CONUA, NAMDA REGISTRATION

The Lead Counsel to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Femi Falana SAN has said that the Union is set to sue the Federal Government over the registration of the Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics (CONUA) and the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics (NAMDA).

Falana said this while featuring on a TV programme on Thursday.

“ASUU is going to court. It is going to be the NIC,” Falana said.

Recall that the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, on Tuesday, presented certificates of registration to CONUA and NAMDA.

Ngige, stated while presenting the certificate of registration to the Unions, that both bodies will exist alongside ASUU.
