In the spirit of Nigerian Army Day Celebration and as part of the Army’s Corporate Social Responsibility as well as to conform with the posture of improving civil- military relations, the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya on Sunday handed over a one bedroom bungalow to Mr Adisa Babalola Rasaq.
The bungalow is situated at the 2nd phase Post Housing Development Ltd Eleyele Ibadan .
Performing the handing over on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, the General Officer Commanding 2 Division NA Maj Gen Gold Chibuisi thanked the COAS for the good gesture and congratulated Mr Adisa Babalola Rasaq for his contributions to the army especially in Supply and Transport office where he worked as a civilian staff.
Gen Chibuisi prayed God to provide him with good health to live in the house.
Mr Adisa Babalola Rasaq hails from Odeda town, Odeda Local Govt Area of Ogun state.
He worked as a carpenter with the Nigerian Army Supply and Transport Unit Eleyele Ibadan from 1957 to 1995.
After his retirement he took over a ramshackle accommodation in the Army property that was later handed over to Post Housing Development Ltd.
Not to evict him the Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya directed PHDL to build a modest one bedroom bungalow for him.
Present at the occasion include Commanders, staff officers, representative of the Managing Director Post Housing Development Ltd and the children and family members of Mr Rasaq.
