It is my pleasure to welcome you to this strategic event which will be the second time since 2001; the last one was held in Ibadan at the Lafia Hotel which is a sister hotel to where we are this evening but then, that was 19 years ago.
The first one was during my tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of this same Organisation and the reason for such event had remained the same, to enhance the business relationship between two business partners whose livelihood are sewn together like an umbilical cord.
The result of that first venture turned out to be a huge success for both parties as BCOS witnessed a surge in its sales and the Advertising agencies were smiling to the bank.
So, I’m sure our interaction tonight will predictably result in similar fashion much more so; the BCOS is now better prepared than before.
Not since 1976, when the Station was established, did we make such deliberate efforts to improve our technical qualities both on radio and television, jazz up the dynamics of the programmes content to please all strata of our audience and motivate our members of Staff.
But more importantly, our Radio has beat all our competitors arms down by reaching all the nooks and crannies of Oyo State and beyond in a record performance that has made us the hub of Interactive Audience Performance Index and made us to frog jump from a far number 15 to number 2 within five months.
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me welcome you to this brief occasion and ask you to enjoy the evening with a leading Broadcast Station in the South West.
