The Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party and running mate to Peter Obi, Doyin Okupe has withdrawn from the position.
The politician made this known via his social media pages on Thursday.
He wrote, “This afternoon I submitted my withdrawal letter from the position of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to INEC.
“A replacement will be announced by d national chairman of d party shortly. I feel greatly blessed to have been part of the foundation of success for the Labour Party.”
Meanwhile, the Labour Party is set to unveil Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as the running mate to Peter Obi, on Friday.
Senator Baba-Ahmed is the Proprietor of Baze University, Abuja and Baba-Ahmed University Kano.
