Mrs Olawumi Ogunesan was born in the early sixties; joined the Civil Service in 1989 through the Oyo State Agricultural Development Programme, OYSADEP; converted her carrier into the Administrative Cader of the public service in 2002, and moved to the mainstream Civil Service of the State in 2008.

Mrs Ogunesan became a Director in 2011 and a Permanent Seceteary in the State Civil Service in 2015, the position she held in the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy matter until February 12th, 2018, when she was sworn-in as the new HoS.

In a remark, the husband of the news HoS, Mr Lola Ogunesan, expressed confidence in the ability of his wife to take the State Civil Service to a greater level, while her daughter, Mrs Damola Akinfesoye, expressed appreciation to the State Government for the opportunity given to her Mum.

In his own remarks, the Asiwaju of Oke-Ogun, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, expressed satisfaction with the appointment of Mrs Ogunesan, noting that an equal opportunity has been created among all cadres in the State Civil Service.

It would be recalled that the immediate predecessor of Mrs Ogunesan, Mr Williams Soji Eniade, has also been appointed as the Executive Assistant on Administration to Oyo State Governor.
