Ajimobi Appoints Olawumi Ogunesan As New Head Of State, Soji Eniade Becomes Executive Assistant To Governor

The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has approved the appointment of Mrs. Hannah Olawumi Ogunesan as the new Head of Service (HoS) of the State.

According to a release from the State Government on Friday, February 2, 2018, the appointment of Mrs. Ogunesan is expected to take effect from Thursday, February 8, 2018.

The appointment is sequel to the retirement of Mr Williams Soji Eniade from the State’s Civil Service, having meritoriously and brilliantly served the State in various capacities prior to his appointment as Head of Service in August 2014.

Mrs. Olawumi Ogunesan holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, and University of Ado-Ekiti respectively.

She is also an alumnus of the London School of Economics Executive Summer School, where she completed an approved program on strategic decisions in Management.

Mrs. Ogunesan joined the Public Service of Oyo State on April 1, 1989 and served in various capacities before her appointment as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters on July 1, 2015, the Office she held until her appointment as the State’s Head of Service.

Similarly, in view of his sterling performance as Head of Service, Governor Ajimobi has equally approved the appointment of the out-going Head of Service, Mr Soji Eniade as Execuive Assistant (administration) to the Governor.

This brings two the number of Executive Assistance to Senator Ajimobi, having appointed Dr Moronkola Thomas, who had been a two-time Commissioner, Education and Agriculture, in a similar capacity in March 2017.

Mr Eniade’s appointment as Executive Assistant to the Governor takes effect from Thursday, February 8, 2018.
