Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, CFR (24 August 1937 – 7 July 1998), popularly known as M. K. O. Abiola, was a renowned  Nigerian Yoruba businessman, publisher, politician and aristocrat of the Yoruba Egba clan.

MKO contested for the Nigerian presidency in 1993. Although he was and is regarded as the  winner, the inconclusive election as the election was annulled by the preceding military president Ibrahim Babangida. The annulment was perceived as corrupt and unfair since there was no justification for it.  

Abiola died in 1998, after being denied victory but his legacies lives on.
